Biographical Note
He was born in 1924 in Athens. He studied theology at the Univ. of Athens as well as philosophy and psychology in Zürich, Basel and Louvain. He received the title of Doctor of Theology at the Athens University (1956) presenting a doctoral thesis on Existentialism and Christian Faith (1956). He was Professor at the Theological Faculty of the University of Geneva (1962- 1974) and Dean of the Post Graduated School of Ecumenical Studies (1966- 1974). Professor at Athens University, he was also Visiting Professor at many Universities (in the U. S. A., Britain, France, Germany and Switzerland). In 1984 he was elected President of the “International Academy of Religious Sciences” (Brussels 1884- 1986). He died in 1986.
