He was born in Lixouri, Kefalonia in 1887. He studied Theology at the Univ. of Athens and then Law and Ecclesiastical History in German Universities. Since 1918 he was professor of Law and Pastoral Theology at the University of Athens. He organized in Athens in 1936 the A’ Orthodox Theological Conference for which he was honored from the Academy of Athens. Since 1962 he is a member in the Academy of Athens in Theology and in 1969 he was a president of the institution. He died in 1969.
