He was born in Katerini, Greece, in 1939. He studied at at the Theology School of the University of Athens and in Belgrade's Theology School. He is emeritus professor at the University of Thessalonica. He has published books and papers concerning his research on historical and canon law archives. He is President of the Foundation for National and Religious Studies.
